Signed times in your own zone, bigger targets on phones

/signed and the Close line on /x print times in the reader's own zone. On a phone, the links under each signed number, the Close's proof links, the oracle's feed headings and its way back, and Ticker it's sound switch are each 44px to press.

2026-10-09 #1034
The Claude Code plugin is on /connect

Tickerz has a plugin for Claude Code: one command adds the MCP server and a skill that knows which tool answers which question. /connect, llms.txt and skill.md now give the command: claude plugin install tickerz --marketplace tickerzhq/tickerz-open.

2026-10-09 #1033
Index pages give the proof's real time

Index pages, the API's first published note and /trust said the daily proof lands at about 12:00 UTC. It is written at 12:40 UTC, and now every page says so.

2026-10-09 #1032
Tickerz Weekly names the next report

The weekly report for Sep 28 to Oct 4 said no jobs or CPI number was published that week, though the Bureau published the September jobs report on Oct 2 (Tickerz loaded it as history on Oct 5). It now says what Tickerz kept as first published and which report comes next, the CPI for Sep 2026 on Oct 14. A Terminal row whose 7 day result is not due yet says 7d pending.

2026-10-09 #1030
Forecasts say what printed

The forecast runs once a day and most indexes print hours before it, so /forecast called a number "likely" for a period already published. A period that has printed now shows what printed beside the forecast made before it, and oracle.tickerz.com feed pages hide the next print once it is in, as index pages already did.

2026-10-09 #1029
Ticker it reads the national debt

Type "the national debt" and Ticker it drafts $DEBT: total US public debt outstanding each business day, to the cent, from the Treasury's own Debt to the Penny. Oct 7: $40,284,036,147,367.19. The Treasury publishes a day's figure the next business day, so Friday's is now read on Monday; Treasury cash ($TGA) works the same way.

2026-10-09 #1026
The Tape's lines open the right site

On oracle.tickerz.com a line on the Tape for an index print opened the index page on the oracle's own address. Every line now links its true home: index pages and launched tickers on tickerz.com, signed numbers on oracle.tickerz.com.

2026-10-09 #1025
No Wikipedia as a source; $PANIC retired

Tickerz does not use Wikipedia or Wikimedia data as a source, for an index, Ticker it, research or settlement. $PANIC, which added up Wikipedia views of three pages, is retired the same day it launched: /launch/panic goes to /launch, it is out of every list, the feed and the Tape, and it is no longer read. Its readings and Solana records stay as they were. Ticker it now says no to Wikipedia in plain words, and the index code's old Wikipedia reader is gone.

$PANIC: Wikipedia's panic pages, counted every day

Ticker it can count fear now. $PANIC adds up a day's views of three English Wikipedia articles, Recession, Bank run and Stock market crash, from Wikimedia's own Pageviews API (CC0, with crawlers and flagged bots left out). Oct 8 read 812 views. Type "panic", "recession" or "bank runs" on /launch and it drafts this rule.

2026-10-09 #1019
Plain words on the oracle and the index pages

Oracle feeds waiting on their first signed number said "First print pending"; they say "First signing pending" now, and the same coined term is gone from /docs/how-its-made, llms.txt and the MCP tools. Lines that repeated the line beside them are cut: the /signed lede, the oracle's pointer to the strip above, the feed page's signing time, the scale examples on /methodology and a fifth "loaded later" on the jobs, unemployment and CPI pages.

2026-10-09 #1018
The oracle is ready for a second clean Solana read

Set RPCFAST_URL and the oracle counts $MINTS on Helius and RPC Fast first, both providers whose terms allow a published count, with Alchemy only as a fallback. dRPC is no longer asked for Solana on its free plan, which does not serve it.

2026-10-09 #1016
One green, one gray: colors come from the tokens

The site's stylesheet kept its own copy of about 25 colors, and some had drifted from the design tokens: asset pages and emails drew the old green (#3DD68C) while the Terminal drew the new one, and labels used a lighter gray. Every color name now reads packages/tokens/tokens.json, the homepage and the daily email included, and a test fails if a hex color comes back into the stylesheet's theme.

2026-10-09 #1014
Launched ticker pages read cleanly in Markdown

In the Markdown twin of a launched ticker the date ran into its change ("Oct 8, 2026+3.4%") and the share button read "post to" with no X. Both read in full now.

2026-10-09 #1013
Launched tickers get their Bitcoin block

A launched ticker's rule was sent to OpenTimestamps at launch but never carried to a Bitcoin block, so every ticker page said "Bitcoin confirms within a few hours" for good. The hourly proofs run now upgrades each one and sends again any that failed at launch.

2026-10-09 #1012
/forecast reads one index a line in Markdown

The Markdown twin of /forecast ran all ten next-print cards into one line of links. Each index is now its own line: the ticker, the period, the likely number, its range and the model.

2026-10-09 #1011
/signed says each number's status in Markdown

An agent reading /signed as Markdown saw Signed, Recounted and Final listed on every row, with no way to tell which were reached. Each row now says its status in words ("Status: Recounted."), and the ticker no longer runs into its name.

2026-10-09 #1010
$LAYOFFS names the file it is checked against

The oracle's $LAYOFFS feed said two providers must agree. It is an official number: it is signed only when the Labor Department's claims file still gives the week as first captured, and the page now says so. /docs/how-its-made now reads "Every read agrees to the digit, or nothing prints."

2026-10-09 #1008
Signed numbers say their period in words

/signed and the oracle pages printed a period as its stored key: "2026-10-03" for the week to Oct 3, "2026-09-01" for September. They now read "Week to Oct 3", "Sep 2026" and "Oct 7", as the Tape does.

2026-10-09 #1004
Tape lines and link rows read cleanly in Markdown

In the Markdown twins a bold time ran into the next word and a link into the word before it: "**01:40:30**Print[$MINTS ...]" on the oracle's Tape, "Pending[Proof]" on /receipts, "bone on ink[SVG]" on /brand. They now read with a space between.

2026-10-09 #1003
Oracle feed cards read cleanly in Markdown

In the Markdown twin of oracle.tickerz.com each feed card ran its ticker, name, status and facts into one link ("$LAYOFFSUS initial jobless claims First print pending"). A card now reads as its ticker linked, then each line after a dot. The homepage's Terminal cards and the launched tickers on /launch read the same way.

2026-10-09 #1001
The oracle signs $LAYOFFS

The daily oracle run now signs the newest week of US initial jobless claims, once the Labor Department's own file still gives the number Tickerz first captured. A week revised since its capture is never signed. The public recount counts the same file and co-signs.

2026-10-08 #1000
Answer and research lists read cleanly in Markdown

In the Markdown twins of /answers and /research each row ran its title, date and question into one link. A row now reads as its title linked, then the date, then the line under it.

2026-10-08 #993
The weekly report in Markdown names each section's columns

In /md/weekly the Terminal table called each event's 24h return "Number" and its 7d return "Change". Each section now has its own headers: Event, 24h, 7d and Benchmark for the Terminal; First published, Proof and Kalshi for prediction markets. An empty column is left out.

2026-10-08 #989
The oracle runs again at 15:35 UTC

A print the 15:10 UTC run holds, such as $MINTS when only one provider counts the day, gets a second try at 15:35 UTC the same day instead of waiting a day. A print already signed answers unchanged. A print signed at 15:10 is final at 15:35 a day later.

2026-10-08 #986
An index page names the days it has no reading for

$YESNO has no reading for Oct 4 or Oct 5: DefiLlama has no Kalshi volume for either day, and a day prints only once both venues have it. The page and its Markdown now say so under How it is counted, instead of skipping the days. A day stays open until its source publishes it, and a day that never lands is void.

2026-10-08 #985
Markdown lists keep a title apart from its date

In the Markdown versions of /answers, /research and the homepage, each row's title ran into the date under it ("sources.Read Oct 4"). They are now spaced. Checked on 30 live pages: only those rows changed.

2026-10-08 #984
The status page checks Alchemy's Solana read

tickerz.com/api/status now asks Alchemy's Solana node the same question the oracle asks for $MINTS, and says if it answers. When one provider counted the day and another failed, the oracle now reads it once more after a pause, so a busy minute does not hold the print.

2026-10-08 #982
A held print names each provider's error

A held print now also says why each provider that gave no number failed, as a short code such as http_429 and the page where it stopped. Today's $MINTS hold: Helius counted 56,427, the same as the record. Alchemy gave nothing, and dRPC does not serve Solana on its free plan.

2026-10-08 #981
A held print says why

When the oracle holds a print instead of signing it, tickerz.com/api/indices/{ticker}/report and the MCP tool get_report now say why: the reason in plain words, the time, and what each provider returned. Before, a missing number only said no_report.

2026-10-08 #979
Weekly in Markdown, as tables

tickerz.com/md/weekly ran each row's number, period, change and source together ("Oct 3+2.3% from Oct 2 6 readings"). Each section is now a table with every value in its own cell. An empty Contents heading left /md/methodology, and How a number is made names the two Solana providers that answer today: Helius and Alchemy.

2026-10-08 #978
Post ideas by email, not on X

Nothing posts to X on its own any more. A post idea now arrives as an email to the desk inbox with the text ready to copy, the picture to attach and the link for the first reply.

2026-10-08 #971
Markdown twins: a table cell and its note no longer run together

On /md/data the Terminal sources read "Pegged assets are left out.Model inputs" and "since 2022Base rates": a cell's text and the note set under it in the page ran together. They are now two sentences, and each feed line ends with a period on the page too.

2026-10-08 #970
Name a number on every index page

Every index page (tickerz.com/x/layoffs and the rest) now ends with Name a number, and so does its Markdown twin, with the API call and the MCP tool. Within 48 hours a named number is a ticker, or you get the plain reason it cannot be built.

2026-10-08 #968
Name a number on the oracle

oracle.tickerz.com now ends with Name a number: say what should be counted and, if you know one, its source. Within 48 hours it is a ticker, or you get the plain reason it cannot be built. The answers are listed on tickerz.com/x.

2026-10-08 #965
Markdown keeps side-by-side values apart

The Markdown an agent reads joined values that sit in their own boxes on the page: an Arena row read 55.67 graded for 55.6 points and 7 graded, and a question read UTC40 for a time and its threshold. Two values laid out apart now keep a space; a digit rolling in or a $ before a ticker stays joined.

2026-10-08 #964
The score claim points at the live measurement

Trust, llms.txt, ai-info.txt and every Markdown page said the median 7 day return after a Terminal event had been negative. Across 118 events it now reads +0.04% (crypto alone -0.47%), so the line no longer held. Each now says the Activity score is not a price signal and links /evidence, which measures it live. The Markdown record also reads void for a receipt whose asset left the Terminal, as the page does.

2026-10-08 #963
Agents can name a number

The MCP server gains name_a_number: an agent sends what should be counted (and a source, if it knows one), and within 48 hours Tickerz builds it as a ticker or posts the plain reason it cannot. Same rules and limits as the form on /x.

2026-10-08 #962
Ticker it reads NOAA's solar flare list

Type "the sun is angry" and Ticker it drafts $FLARES: solar flares of any class beginning each UTC day, from NOAA's GOES X-ray flare list, read 6 hours after the day ends. A quiet day reads 0 once NOAA shows the day was watched. Oct 6: 13, two of them M class.

2026-10-08 #961
Months with their year in Markdown; Trust shows the Solana record

The Markdown version of a monthly index (/md/x/jobs and the other three) named each month "Sep 1", so September 2026 and September 2025 read the same. It now says "Sep 2026". /trust gains On Solana: every print written as a memo from the publisher address, and the signed numbers with their public recount.

2026-10-08 #960
The oracle's signing time in your own zone

Each feed page on oracle.tickerz.com said "Signed at 15:10 UTC". It now gives the time in the reader's own zone ("Signed at 11:10 EDT"); the page as first sent says UTC until the browser takes over.

2026-10-08 #959
Status reads the board again before calling it stale

After a quiet spell, /api/status answered with the board as it was stored before it (52 minutes old) and said degraded, while the board itself was 7 minutes old. It now reads the board again, once, before it says the board is stale; if that read fails, it still says so.

2026-10-08 #958
Times in your own zone on the Tape and the homepage terminal

The Tape on oracle.tickerz.com and the homepage terminal printed every time in UTC. They now print it in the reader's own zone, on a 24-hour clock, with the zone's name beside the read time ("Read 18:28:30 EDT"). The page as first sent says UTC until the browser takes over.

2026-10-08 #957
The Arena clock tells the truth before the page runs

Before its script ran, /arena printed the close time twice and each round said "Closes in 1d 0h" when about 23 hours were left. It now shows the close time, then the time left. /launch no longer says every reading comes through Alchemy.

2026-10-08 #956
Ticker it reads the USGS earthquake catalog

Type "the earth is angry" and Ticker it drafts $QUAKES: earthquakes of magnitude 2.5 or more anywhere in the world each UTC day, from the US Geological Survey's own catalog, read 24 hours after the day ends. Oct 6: 53.

2026-10-07 #955
Agent files point at oracle.tickerz.com

llms.txt, the Markdown twins and the oracle status line link oracle.tickerz.com directly instead of an address that redirects. The /x twin no longer mentions a see-only index (none is left since $CRIME retired), and the Terminal is described as about 200 tickers, as it scores today.

2026-10-07 #954
Ticker it reads the FCC's indecency complaints

Type "tv is getting too lewd" and Ticker it drafts $LEWD: complaints about obscene, indecent or profane broadcasts filed with the FCC each day, from its public complaints dataset, read 30 hours after the day ends. A day with none reads 0. Oct 5: 51.

2026-10-07 #948
The Tape writes dates as words

Solana writes, signed numbers and launched-ticker readings on the Tape now read "Oct 6" or "Sep 2026" like every other line, not 2026-10-06. GET /api/tape is open to any origin, like the rest of the read API.

2026-10-07 #946
Tickerz in the browser toolbar

A Manifest V3 extension for Chrome, Edge, Brave and Arc: every index with its newest number, change and period, and the newest Tape lines in Eastern Time with each signed number's status. Optional cashtag cards: turn them on and pointing at $JOBS or $MINTS on any page shows the number. It asks only for tickerz.com at install and reads only the public API. Not in the Chrome Web Store yet.

2026-10-07 #945
The oracle reads each provider at its pace

Why the first oracle run signed nothing: Helius counted $MINTS for Oct 6 (54,042, the same as the record) but Alchemy's read failed and dRPC's free plan has no Solana. Every page now waits its turn and is asked again on a refusal. Core CPI's cross-check reads the file that carries it, so its first print on Oct 14 is not held. Every read and hold is logged.

2026-10-07 #944
Desk notes carry a card and a link

A desk note on X now posts with one of our share cards, and its link goes in our own first reply under it. A note without a card is refused.

2026-10-07 #942
How a number is made

/docs/how-its-made: the ten steps from a public source to a final print (read, agree to the digit, check, sign, record, recount, co-sign, final), each with where to check it, in the share-card diagrams. Every threshold and time on the page is read from the oracle's own code.

2026-10-07 #939
The forecast in the API and for agents

GET /api/indices/{ticker} and the MCP tool get_index now carry forecast: the next period's 80% range and its middle, the model the daily run chose, how the procedure did walked forward and the live record. Display only, never a settled number.

2026-10-07 #938
The homepage without the Tape strip

The five line Tape under the homepage hero is gone. The homepage leads with the headline, the field, the Sources and the indexes; everything Tickerz publishes, as it happens, is in the menu under Tape and at oracle.tickerz.com.

2026-10-07 #934
The oracle in Markdown

An agent that asks oracle.tickerz.com for Markdown, or opens Machine in its footer, now gets the oracle dashboard and each feed page, with oracle.tickerz.com as the canonical address. Before, the root answered with the homepage.

2026-10-07 #933
Ticker it: insider filings and the Treasury's cash

Two more public records anyone can ticker. $INSIDE counts the Form 4 filings the SEC accepts each business day (837 on Oct 6), from EDGAR's daily index. $TGA is the Treasury's cash at the Fed at each day's close ($883,335,000,000 on Oct 5), from the Daily Treasury Statement. Both are read from the publisher's own free records, exact, with no vendor in between.

2026-10-07 #932
Blinks for Ticker it and every ticker; the Farcaster mini app

Ticker it works as a Solana Blink: type a take and the new ticker and its first reading come back in the same card, with no signature and nothing paid. Every index Blink shows its newest signed number before Higher and Lower, and every launched ticker has its own based or ngmi Blink, a zero-value memo from the caller's wallet, points only. A cast of an index page, a launched ticker or an oracle feed now shows a card with a button into the Tickerz mini app at /mini: the indexes, the live tape and the daily call.

2026-10-07 #931
Tickerz Weekly

Every Monday at 14:00 UTC, /weekly shows the week before from Tickerz's own record: each index's newest reading, the numbers the oracle signed, the Terminal's most unusual events with their receipts, and the jobs and CPI numbers first published that week beside what Kalshi settled on. Every row carries its period and source. Past weeks stay at /weekly/YYYY-MM-DD. The email version is written and off until it is switched on.

2026-10-07 #923
/forecast: every index's next number and how the forecasts have done

One page for Forecast v1: each index's next number and its 8 in 10 range, drawn against the last periods the model walked forward, the backtest by index (including where it is no better than repeating the last number) and the live record, each first forecast beside the number that printed. Each index page now draws its range too. Display only: a forecast never touches a settled number.

2026-10-07 #914
Forecast v1: the next print, its range, and how well that has worked

Each index page shows where its next number is likely to land and a range that should hold 8 times in 10, with the model's own backtest beside it, including where it is no better than repeating the last number. Every forecast is written in public in tickerz-open before its number lands, and the model is chosen again each day. Display only: a forecast never touches a printed or settled number.

2026-10-01 #569
Launch a ticker

/launch names a ticker, picks fees or volume and up to ten DefiLlama parts, and previews 90 days scored like the set, with missing days counted. A launch writes the definition once with its SHA-256 and an OpenTimestamps proof, three a day per address, the name shown after review. Each launched index gets a page at /launch/{ticker} with its line, the definition digest and the proof. The first launch is $BOTS: fees across Axiom, GMGN, Maestro, Photon and Trojan.

2026-10-01 #567
The Wikipedia indexes leave the set; $YESNO joins it

$GOON, $SINGLE and $TILT read Wikipedia pageviews, which settle nothing and move with page loads. They leave the set; their history stays and their pages redirect to /x. $YESNO takes $TILT's place: dollars traded per day on Kalshi and Polymarket, from DefiLlama's open API.

2026-10-01 #564
The Fat Cat Index at /dogez

What the exchanges hold in Dogecoin, read from the chain hourly: 25 labelled exchange wallets, 180 days of daily history rebuilt from each wallet's flows, the most wanted, and a paw check that reads a pasted address and returns a card to post. A 90 day line on each most wanted card followed in #565. In #568 the page joined the footer, the sitemap and llms.txt, titled Dogecoin on Exchanges: The Fat Cat Index.

2026-10-01 #563
Ready for agents

Agents get Markdown answers and Markdown 404s, every API route answers errors in the RFC 9457 problem format, /api/v1 is the stable name of the current API, responses carry RateLimit headers, an API catalog lists the routes, llms.txt says when to use Tickerz, and /contact is a page.

2026-10-01 #560
On-chain, and the proof

Reader copy says on-chain and the proof. The homepage Close band and the /x dateline link the day's Bitcoin proof and its EAS attestation on Base.

2026-09-30 #542
The stock volume bias is gone

After a week of scoring stocks against the same point in the session, the median stock volume z is +0.00 over 6,840 readings from September 23 to 29, against -0.98 the week before. Recorded in the integrity note.

2026-09-30 #536
The record is append only in the database

A resolved receipt, and an event's asset, open time and open price, can no longer change in the database, and neither events nor receipts can lose a row. It was a promise before. Now the database enforces it.

2026-09-29 #529
Index Machina: every agent payment, live

/machines is a live scene: a treemap of the services agents paid today, each payment a dot flying from its payer to the service it paid, 45 seconds behind the chain, with a replay of the last hour at 60 times speed. tickerz.com/dots opens it.

2026-09-29 #525
/machines: the machine economy from the chain

Paid gigs with their range, the machine wage, dollars paid and payers; paid gigs per hour; the newest agent payments live from Base; who earns and who spends; what machines buy. Names come from Coinbase's public directory, refreshed daily.

2026-09-29 #523
$GIGS and $WAGE

Two indexes for what AI agents are paid for. $GIGS counts paid calls between agents and the services they pay per UTC day, from settled x402 payments on Base, with its 95% range. $WAGE is the payer-balanced median price of a paid call. 14 days backfilled.

2026-09-29 #512
Agents can read the indexes

The MCP server gets list_indices and get_index, serving the same index payload as the public API.

2026-09-29 #508
A signed reading on every index

Each index reading carries z beside its score: the period's own count against its baseline's median, in robust standard deviations, signed, one decimal. $LAYOFFS in a low week reads -1.1 instead of Quiet. The Activity score does not change. /api/indices carries z, and the methodology says so.

2026-09-29 #507
The free API serves Tickerz's readings

/api/board, /api/asset and the MCP board and asset tools no longer carry the data vendor's price, 24h volume, market cap, price spark or derivatives context. Scores, the board's own score spark, the move, the volume multiple, events, receipts and venues stay. The site and share cards still show prices.

2026-09-25 #477
One tap into every assistant

/connect lists one row per assistant with the most direct action that works and the thing to paste; the homepage links four of them. An Arena handle gets a secret key with its first forecast that stands, so the handle keeps working from any address.

2026-09-25 #472
One way to say what Tickerz is

Every page states the company the same way: Tickerz turns fringe data into indexes, and the Terminal is the second surface. About went from 486 words to 296; the site description, search data, the /x headline, llms.txt and the MCP discovery file match it.

2026-09-25 #466
The brand on every surface

Icons are the bone mark on deep plum. Every share card and the link preview moved to ink, bone and a plum stepped line, with new cards for X posts. Emails take the new design on paper, so mail apps do not invert them.

2026-09-25 #465
Ink and plum on every page

Every route wears the new design: one nav and footer, an ink ground, bone text, plum stepped lines with no fill on every chart, index hues as small chips, green and red only on direction triangles. The remaining pages moved onto the same page kit the same day in #470, #471, #474 and #475, and the footer went from 20 links to 11.

2026-09-25 #463
The redesigned home, index pages and Arena

The redesign went live on the homepage, every /x/{ticker} page and /arena. The full asset table moved to /terminal.

Tickerz Daily on the Close

Tickerz Daily is rebuilt on the Close: the newest Close, the Terminal line, events opened, receipts landed beside BTC or SPY, a research line when there is new research, the proof, one button. The subject leads with the same index as the Close post. Same list, send time and sender.

Charts in motion

Index and asset pages share one chart: columns rise once when the chart comes into view, the big number above follows the scrub, ranges switch in place, and live sources refresh every 60 seconds while the tab is visible. Mouse, touch and arrow keys all scrub. A hidden table carries every value for screen readers, and reduced motion shows the final frame.

Resolution

/resolution states the service in two sentences and shows the first case: a Polymarket market and a Kalshi market that read the same leaderboard page two hours apart on September 30 2026. The reading rule, version 1, went on-chain with OpenTimestamps on September 24 before either market resolved; its proof confirmed in Bitcoin block 968,364 (#443). Every index page carries a Resolution section a venue can paste into a rulebook (#413).

Pricing, trust, and pages for AI assistants

/pricing and /trust are live. The index pages are in search and the sitemap. llms.txt is rewritten, with a dated fact sheet, an MCP discovery file and an agent guide.

2026-09-24 #424
$RATS removed

$RATS left the set: out of the registry, the Close, the Arena and the API. Its pages redirect to /x. Its history is kept.

2026-09-24 #414
$MINTS

New coins created on the pump.fun program per UTC day, counted by Tickerz from the Solana chain, with graduations as a second line. No vendor dataset in the path. Finalized transactions only, each counted on the UTC day of its block time. 30 days backfilled from the chain.

2026-09-24 #412
The homepage leads with the Index

Everything gets a ticker. The homepage opens on the field of columns, one per scored ticker, then the Close leader and the Terminal leader, the index rows with the period each reads, the twelve most unusual assets, every asset, and the receipts.

2026-09-23 #411
The Arena

People and agents forecast the next reading of every index that takes calls, under a public handle, graded on the first print: 100 points times max(0, 1 minus the error over 25%). Standings start at three graded forecasts. Forecasts stay hidden until close. Pages at /arena and /arena/{question}, an Arena section on every ticker page, GET /api/arena, POST /api/arena/forecast, and the MCP tools arena and submit_forecast.

2026-09-23 #403
The Tickerz Index and the Close

Eight tickers for what people do, from public data, scored against their own normal at /x. $LAYOFFS reads the Department of Labor's weekly claims file on a weekly cadence; $TRENCHES adds up thirteen launchpads' daily fees from DefiLlama. See only for deaths and violent crime. A Pro and Predict waitlist with referral links, ticker requests with counts only, and the daily Tickerz Close. The AI race ticker took the name $MODELS the same day (#404).

A simpler Terminal

The hero states what Tickerz is in one line over a live count strip. One asset template (score, VOLUME, MOVE, EVENT, then a WHY card) on the homepage and the asset page. Explanations moved to /methodology and questions left the top nav. Visible words fell about 40% on the homepage and asset pages, 52% on /receipts and 65% on /evidence.

2026-09-23 #394
One question per crypto event

Each crypto event gets one question: will it read 40 or more 24 hours after open. The question is stamped with OpenTimestamps when written. Anyone answers in the first 4 hours on /questions, the asset page or MCP; the split stays hidden until answers close. Tickerz answers with the base rate and is graded against a persistence baseline and an always-under baseline. No prizes, no money.

2026-09-23 #389
The site says what runs

Methodology, docs, llms.txt, the OpenAPI document and the MCP descriptions now match the code and the record: the machine tier closed for now, 30-day receipts with a benchmark, stamping at open for new events since 20:30 UTC on September 22, and the one finding that holds. The changelog calls a closed event closed: score_events kind is closed, and the deprecated heat_events keeps resolved until at least 2026-12-31.

2026-09-23 #388
Readings are screened before they are stored

Two runs of volume readings from our data source were wrong by several orders of magnitude: ETH on September 15 from 16:15 to 18:30 UTC, and a hidden asset on September 6. No event opened. The readings are removed from the stored history and kept in a rejects log. A reading with an impossible volume, or one far outside the asset's own history, is now held back before it is stored or scored.

2026-09-22 #382
The API says score

The API, the MCP server and the changelog JSON serve score, score_1h, scores_30d, peak_score and score_events. The heat fields stay as deprecated aliases with the same values until at least 2026-12-31.

2026-09-22 #380
One ticker, one asset

The wider universe added two tokens that share a ticker with a stock, MetaDAO as META and GreenHood as HOOD, and those pages returned an error. A ticker now resolves to the stock, and a token that shares a stock's ticker is kept off the Terminal.

2026-09-22 #379
Where it trades

Each asset page lists the venues that carry it, as plain links grouped by spot, perpetuals, futures and prediction markets, checked every night against each venue's own product list. Venues whose terms exclude US persons are labeled. Tickerz is not paid for any link.

2026-09-22 #378
Stocks: no base rate yet

Stocks get base rates only from a study measured against SPY. No free source of daily bars qualified, so the study has not run and stocks show no base rate. The research page says so.

2026-09-22 #377
Why it moved, with a source

The driver line reads news from around the event's open instead of whenever the job ran, adds SEC filings for stocks, and tags listings and futures launches directly from the headline that reports them. When nothing qualifies it says Driver: not identified.

2026-09-22 #376
The record checks itself

A nightly audit recomputes every published research figure, checks the live pages against the data files, and opens an issue when they disagree. It found two lines of copy that broke the house rules and they were fixed.

2026-09-22 #375
Measured volume, and breadth

Volume is N times normal is now measured: the last 24 hours against the asset's own 30-day average. It was an estimate before, and it overstated most assets. The Terminal now says how many scored coins are unusual right now.

2026-09-22 #373
Stocks scored against the same point in the day

A stock's volume builds from the opening bell, but it was compared with full-day volume, so every stock looked quiet in the morning. Each stock is now compared with its own volume at the same point in earlier sessions. Earlier stock scores were biased low before midday; they are not rewritten.

2026-09-22 #372
Faster, and room to grow

The Terminal's main query went from about a second to about 20 milliseconds, asset pages are served from cache, and share cards refresh every few minutes instead of once a year. Readings older than 45 days will be thinned to one an hour from September 29, with the rest archived.

2026-09-22 #371
Less shipped to your browser

The homepage sends 111 KB of JavaScript instead of 241 KB. A data source that was only reachable by routing around a regional block was removed, and scheduled jobs that had never produced anything were switched off.

2026-09-22 #370
Correction: Attention fades rerun on the live formula

The study used a different formula from the live score. It now runs the live one, and every interval resamples whole dates. Lone upside spikes lagged BTC by a median of 5.2% over 7 days, 3.1 points worse than an ordinary day. The claim that downside spikes recover is withdrawn: its largest group rested on one date, October 10 2025. Base rates are matched on breadth and withhold any group that is small, dominated by one date, or level with an ordinary day.

2026-09-22 #369
Called before the outcome

Every new event is now stamped with OpenTimestamps within about an hour of opening, then anchored to a Bitcoin block, so the record proves a call existed before its outcome. Events that opened before this change were stamped over the following nine hours, and each receipt shows how long after open its stamp came. Receipts carry the benchmark's return over the same window, and the published opening score is the score that opened the event; the old field held the peak.

2026-09-22 #366
What usually happened next

On an unusual day, a coin's page shows what happened after moves of the same kind since 2022: the median return against Bitcoin over the next day, week and month, next to an ordinary day. The same answer is available to agents through the MCP server and the API.

2026-09-22 #365
Attention fades

The research behind the finding is published at /research/attention-fades: attention spikes on 175 coins since 2022, measured against Bitcoin and against an ordinary day, every number reproducible from the published scripts.

2026-09-22 #362
Evidence

A new page, /evidence, measures every event against its market over the same window and against an ordinary day, and reports it whichever way it comes out. After an event, coins have lagged BTC over the following week. Evidence is in the nav.

2026-09-22 #352
Assets as cards

The dense asset table became a grid of cards: symbol, Activity score, a 24-hour activity sparkline, price and 24h move. Search, class tabs and sorting stay.

2026-09-22 #323
Activity score

The score is called the Activity score, 0 to 100, on every page, in llms.txt, in the API and MCP descriptions and on share cards.

2026-09-17 #278
Receipt clocks watched

A lag check every 30 minutes, an hourly resolve backup, and a status line for receipts past due.

2026-09-17 #277
Security headers

HSTS with subdomains and preload, cross-origin opener policy, a baseline content security policy.

2026-09-17 #274
Canonical URLs, robots, sitemap and structured data

Each page carries its own canonical and share URL, uppercase symbols redirect, robots keeps token endpoints out, the sitemap lists every page, the dataset is described in JSON-LD.

2026-09-17 #273
Stale rows read as stale

A row whose feed stopped shows STALE with its date, leaves the Now strip and the distribution, and the asset page prints the late-feed line with the real age.

2026-09-17 #272
Accessibility pass

Skip link, landmarks and headings on every page, badge contrast on the dark steps, keyboard reach on the charts and the search.

2026-09-17 #271
Accent rationed

Lime marks the active nav item, the score at 70 and above, event state and one action per page. Body links are bone with a hairline underline. Chips and badges are pills.

2026-09-17 #270
Confirm and unsubscribe links work

Every confirm and unsubscribe link the daily email issued was rejected because addresses contain dots. Links verify, one-click unsubscribe answers mail providers, signups are throttled.

2026-09-17 #269
One vocabulary on every surface

The retired score name and 'board' leave every page, llms.txt and the OpenAPI document; identifiers and API keys are unchanged.

2026-09-17 #267
A 404 page on the ink field

Unknown URLs and unknown symbols render the not-found page with the Nav and a link back to the Terminal.

2026-09-17 #266
Receipt proofs confirm on Bitcoin again

Every proof had sat at pending: the stored bytes were double encoded and the block height was never read. Proofs now upgrade on the hourly run and /status reports any proof without a height after 24 hours.

2026-09-17 #259
Homepage chart: every asset as one sorted column

Every scored asset as a column on a fixed 0 to 100 scale, a dashed line at 70 where events open, hover for the reading, band chips filter the table.

2026-09-16 #239
The September 16 system

It is the Terminal, not the board. The score got a public name, since renamed the Activity score (#323). Schibsted Grotesk and Fragment Mono replace Inter and Space Mono. A distribution above the table, an interactive asset chart, a receipts histogram, a connect page for the MCP server, the tape retired, share cards on the new type.

2026-09-10 #64
Receipt clocks: next tick and a lag alert

Receipts resolve on the first Terminal tick at or after each horizon. A health alert fires when a receipt runs more than one crypto tick late.

2026-09-10 #52
Board v2: an orientation band

An orientation band at the top of the homepage, and the score shown as a named index on the board.
