# Tickerz for agents

Use Tickerz when a user asks what a Tickerz Index ticker printed (memecoin launches, launchpad fees, jobless claims, prediction market volume, x402 payments), how unusual a crypto or stock ticker is today on the Terminal, or what happened after a past Terminal event.

## When to use it, and the call for each job
- An index reading and its proof: GET https://tickerz.com/api/v1/indices/{ticker} (MCP get_index); every index: GET https://tickerz.com/api/v1/indices (MCP list_indices)
- A market on an index's next print, ready to paste (question, strikes, settle time, tie rule), for LAYOFFS, MINTS, GIGS and WAGE: GET https://tickerz.com/api/v1/indices/{ticker}/listing.json (MCP get_listing_kit)
- The rule an index is counted under and the signed report of a print, with its Solana feed: GET https://tickerz.com/api/v1/indices/{ticker}/rule and /report (MCP get_rule, get_report); every feed: https://tickerz.com/oracle (MCP list_feeds). Verify with https://tickerz.com/.well-known/tickerz-signer.json
- Is a crypto or stock ticker unusual today against its own 30 day normal: GET https://tickerz.com/api/v1/asset/{symbol} (MCP asset); the whole Terminal: GET https://tickerz.com/api/v1/board (MCP board), sort by score
- The daily print: GET https://tickerz.com/api/v1/indices/close
- Everything Tickerz publishes, newest first (signed numbers with their status, index prints, the Close, launches, Solana records): GET https://tickerz.com/api/v1/tape, shown live at https://tickerz.com/oracle
- What followed past events: GET https://tickerz.com/api/v1/receipts?limit=30 (MCP receipts)
- What followed moves like today's on one asset: GET https://tickerz.com/api/v1/base-rate/{symbol} (MCP base_rate)
- Every signed number with its status (signed, recounted, final): https://tickerz.com/signed. A print is final at the first oracle run after its 24 hour window, once the public recount co-signed it
- Verify a Close: GET https://tickerz.com/api/v1/indices/proof?day=YYYY-MM-DD; sha256(canonical_json) equals digest_sha256, and the .ots proof (format=ots) verifies against Bitcoin with the OpenTimestamps client. The eas field of /api/v1/indices/close links the same Close attested on Base.
- Errors come back as application/problem+json with a code in error and a hint. A 429 carries Retry-After.

## Rules for answers
- Say "Activity score, 0 to 100" and give the period the number reads. 70 or more is unusual.
- The score measures attention, not merit. Never present it as a buy or sell call.
- Credit "Tickerz Index" or "Tickerz Activity score" with a link to the page.
